Location: Guayama, Puerto Rico Pay Rate: $12.00 +10% shift diffferential for 2nd and 3rd shift total: $13.20 Shifts: Availability to work non-standard shifts, holidays, weekends, as per business needs (1st. 2nd, 3rd and 12-hour shift, if needed).
Purpose The Packaging Operator I is accountable for executing and documenting packaging operating steps on batches of products following safety policies, procedures and Batch Production Records. Operating steps include filling, metal detection, capping, sealing, labeling, cartoning, inspection, tray pack, wrapping, case packing and palletizing. Technical functions include operation, cleaning, setup, changeover, adjustments, preventive maintenance supportand material handling. Perform quality in-process checks and device challenges.
Responsibilities
Request and verify materials/components using SAP and coordinate waste removal.
Perform cleaning processes for packaging line, washroom, equipment and work areas.
Operate equipment, perform changeovers, setup and transfer materials as needed.
Follow packaging records and SOPs,monitor parameters and communicate deviations.
Participate in process improvement projects and team goals.
Inspect products to ensure compliance with procedures and quality requirements.
Perform basic preventive maintenance, minor repairsand troubleshooting assistance.
Requirements:
High School Diploma with (3) three years' experience as Operator in the pharmaceutical industry; or Associate Degree in science, engineering or related field with (1) One year experience; or Bachelor's Degree with no experience.
Must have full availability to work rotating shifts based on business needs. Work schedules are subject to change and may include, but are not limited to, the following shifts: 1st shift: 5:30am - 1:30pm / 6:00am - 2:00pm, 2nd shift: 1:30pm - 9:30pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm, and 3rd shift: 9:30pm - 5:00am.
Follow simple written and/or oral instructions and operate simple equipment.
Work includes bending, twisting, stretching, repetitive motion, standing and occasional heavy lifting per OSHA guidelines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
