Title: Technical Lead Consultant – Pharmacy Applications Location: Lake County, IL 60064 Duration: 7 Months
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead Consultant with strong specialty pharmacy and healthcare technology experience to lead application support, enhancements, integrations, and delivery across a pharmacy ecosystem. The role will provide technical leadership for pharmacy platforms, including ScriptMed, Salesforce, SAP, middleware, and third-party vendor integrations, ensuring reliable and compliant business operations. Relevant experience with pharmacy applications, eRx workflows, Salesforce integration, ESB middleware, and specialty pharmacy operations is a preferred requirement.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the technical lead for pharmacy applications and related integrations.
Lead solution design, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support.
Manage integrations between ScriptMed, Salesforce, SAP, ESB middleware, shipping vendors, and external partners.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA, vendors, and development teams to deliver enhancements and releases.
Drive defect resolution, system stability, performance improvements, and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with healthcare, HIPAA, and pharmacy-related regulations.
Provide technical guidance, mentor team members, and coordinate offshore/vendor resources.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years in pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare applications.
Strong knowledge of scriptmed, Salesforce, SAP, APIs, integration patterns, and ESB middleware.
Experience with eRx, patient enrollment, prescription processing, order management, and pharmacy workflows.
Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Surescripts, healthcare interoperability, and cloud-based integrations.
Knowledge of Agile delivery, DevOps, release management, and production support processes.
Experience in specialty pharmacy, patient support programs, or pharmaceutical industry environments.
