Location: Archdale, NC
Duration: 12 months (Contract - to - Hire)
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Overtime: Possible overtime on Fridays
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely set up, operate, and maintain press brake equipment to fabricate high-quality metal components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience reading blueprints, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal components according to engineering specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Ensure finished parts meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to inspect parts.
• Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and adjustments for various bending operations.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC laser cutting machines as needed.
• Assemble fabricated components and perform basic welding tasks when required.
• Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot production and equipment issues with team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a Press Brake in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience setting up tooling and making machine adjustments.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet quality standards.
• Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC laser cutting machines.
• Fabrication and metal manufacturing experience.
• Experience operating the following equipment:
  • Milling Machine (Bridgeport)
  • Waterjet
  • Band Saws and Horizontal Saws
  • Drill Press
  • Press Brake
• Basic welding experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance and heavier items with assistance.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while following all safety guidelines.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
