Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Duration: 2+ Months
Location: 5 Mobile Infirmary Cir, Mobile AL

Schedule: 3^rd  shift 8pm-630am-M-F
 Rotate every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture using straight and butterfly needles.
• Collect blood, urine, and other specimens following established procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens for transport.
• Verify physician orders and laboratory requisitions for accuracy.
• Maintain specimen integrity by following proper storage and transportation protocols.
• Update patient information and documentation.
• Perform equipment maintenance and decontamination.
• Answer phone calls and communicate laboratory results as appropriate.
• Follow OSHA and other safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months of recent phlebotomy experience in a hospital, laboratory, or high-volume patient service center.
• Experience performing confident, independent blood draws.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• State Phlebotomy Certification (where required).
• Will be working in a hospital, going to patients rooms to draw blood. Will need to be comfortable walking. Will be seeing age range groups from pedi to geri, hard stick patientts
