Job Description

Role: Facilities Mechanical Engineer
Location: Boise, ID
Duration: 11+ months


Note:
  • Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours – nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on ability of site to support and employee preference.
  • Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidate.
Overview:
  • As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients research and development, testing, and manufacturing.
  • ollaborating closely with client stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, you will establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools and facility infrastructure upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and layout for wet and dry piping, equipment layout, HVAC, exhaust, fire suppression, process chemical piping, and gases for extensive tools in complex industrial facilities
  • Retrofit existing building systems to accommodate tool installation, including engineering calculations, equipment sizing, selection, and specification
  • Support during construction and integration into the factory
  • Work directly with multi-discipline design teams, client equipment owners, stakeholders, and equipment manufacturers to build utility requirement documents
  • Assist with RFI and submittal services on-site during the construction phase
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited University
  • Three (3) years of practical application of mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related systems
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) actively pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • One (1) year field experience in an industrial facility
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms
  • Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-discipline design teams
  • Passion for buildings and construction
  • One (1) year field experience in an industrial facilit
