Job Description
Position Title: Pharmacy Assistant
Work Location: Louisville KY, 40219
Assignment Duration: 3 Months
Work Schedule: M-F 2PM-10:30PM with potential overtime
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary: Employees will need to be able to follow on screen prompts to ensure all orders are both picked and packed according to program specifications. These tasks will require a keen attention to detail. There may be occasional mandatory overtime necessary in order to complete the daily workload.
Background & Context: Works in a fast-paced production environment known as an automated refill center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processes orders for shipping
- Folds and packs paperwork with prescriptions to prepare for shipping
- Sorts orders by store location and places in totes for shipping • Loads product into truck
- Complies with policies, procedures and SOP’s
- Adheres to and promotes the Company’s Shared ICARE principles
- Maintains continuous and consistent work flow in order to meet daily production goals
- Works productively either independently or as a team with acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks
- Understands and abides by federal and state HIPAA laws as well as pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy
- Demonstrates problem resolution skills: ability to recognize, address and escalate issues to management
Qualification & Experience:
- Pharmacy Assistant certification
- Able to lift and carry 20-25 pounds
- Keen attention to detail
- Reliable transportation to and from work\
- Willing to work any necessary overtime
Working Conditions & Physical Demands (If Applicable): Works in a fast-paced production environment. Able to lift and carry 20-25 pounds. Potential mandatory overtime.
Additional Information (If Applicable): Once hired, employees will be required to obtain a KY Board of Pharmacy Technician License at their own expense, $25. This can be completed on site.
