Role: ES&H Representative (Field Supervision)
Location: Thacker Pass, NV
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: 6 Weeks on, 2 Weeks Off
Benefits:
The Thacker Pass Project is one of the largest lithium development projects in the United States and is expected to become the nation’s leading lithium carbonate production facility, supporting electric vehicle manufacturing and clean energy initiatives. The EPCM contractor is overseeing engineering, procurement, and construction activities for the project in northern Nevada.
Position Summary
The ES&H Representative will provide field-level Environmental, Safety & Health oversight during project execution. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with project safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and ES&H standards through daily field inspections, contractor coordination, incident investigations, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Summary
The ES&H Representative will provide field-level Environmental, Safety & Health oversight during project execution. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with project safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and ES&H standards through daily field inspections, contractor coordination, incident investigations, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily field inspections and site surveillance to ensure compliance with ES&H requirements and proper PPE usage.
- Support implementation of ES&H programs, procedures, and management systems.
- Deliver toolbox talks, orientations, and safety meetings with contractors and subcontractors.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
- Maintain ES&H databases, reports, audit findings, and safety documentation.
- Lead or support ES&H audits, assessments, and inspections during construction activities.
- Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards.
- Assist in risk assessments, mitigation planning, emergency preparedness, and training initiatives.
- Coordinate and communicate ES&H expectations across project teams and contractors.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce hazards and strengthen site safety performance.
- Provide technical guidance and regulatory interpretation related to ES&H matters.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Health, Science, or related field preferred.
- 8–10 years of relevant ES&H experience with degree OR 12–14 years of related field experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910 and OSHA 1926 regulations.
- Experience supporting large industrial, mining, heavy civil, or construction projects.
- Ability to conduct incident investigations and perform root cause analysis.
- Experience leading contractor orientations, audits, and corrective action programs.
- Knowledge of ES&H systems, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
- Experience managing or overseeing ES&H subcontractors and consultants preferred.
- Strong communication, reporting, and field coordination skills.
- Mining, EPC/EPCM, heavy industrial, energy, lithium, or large-scale construction project experience.
- Experience with contractor safety management and field supervision.
- Familiarity with ES&H compliance systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
