Job Description
Job Title: Automotive Systems Engineer
Location: Dearborn, MI (Fully Onsite)
Duration: ≈ 57.9 months (approximately 58 months)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Systems Engineer with a strong background in automotive systems engineering and in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system requirement development, functional integration, interface design, and supporting system-level analysis for feature deployment across different vehicle architectures and markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional partitioning of vehicle features.
- Develop interfaces between allocable classes.
- Define and specify system-level requirements and ECU software requirements.
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies for specification development.
- Utilize requirements management tools for requirement authoring, change management, and specification generation.
- Lead and coordinate working sessions with Feature/Function Owners, Module Owners, HMI teams, and IVI Platform teams to drive functional integration strategies.
- Perform system compatibility analysis and impact assessments for IVI feature deployment across multiple architectures, programs, and markets.
- Resolve technical issues at system and interface levels affecting In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Engineering.
- 9+ years of experience in Automotive Systems Engineering.
- Experience with system requirement development and ECU software specifications.
- Strong understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Hands-on experience with requirements management tools.
- Experience supporting IVI systems and functional integration activities.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
