Top Must-Have Skills / Candidate Requirements:
- Testing Workday Absence module (including testing absence plans (e.g., vacation, paid sick leave), accrual calculations, carryovers, balances, eligibility rules, etc.).
- Workday HCM modules, specifically testing and troubleshooting across workstreams/modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Time and Absence).
Additional Skills:
- Intermediate computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to run reports in Workday to assist with testing and data validation efforts.
- Experience defining/writing and executing testing user stories.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a highly collaborative environment.
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Negotiation skills with the ability to influence others through sharing information and gaining commitment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Optional Skills:
- Knowledge of Workday Time (don't have to have, but they go together & Absence)
Degrees or Certifications Required & Years of Overall Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related discipline with at least 5 years of systems experience. In lieu of a degree, must have 5 years of system implementation experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Workday, specifically with Absence
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Understand requirements for Workday processes, across modules.
- Participate in defining and reviewing business problems, objectives, and process changes.
- Support the configuration of Absence processes and identify solutions within Workday, as we move through SIT testing.
- Create data flow diagrams and artifacts to support system design, development, and implementation.
- Define, contribute to, and/or coordinate the development and approval of test plans for cross-module testing, and Absence testing.
- Execute and/or coordinate the execution of test plans, approaches, and scripts for SIT (Systems Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- Document, monitor, and coordinate the resolution of test issues per established processes.
- Evaluate risks associated with testing approaches and recommend alternative solutions as needed.
- Collaborate with change management teams to identify and document process changes between current systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) and Workday.
