Salary: $130,000 – $150,000
Location: Denver, Co. (primarily onsite)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to lead the organization’s accounting operations and serve as a key financial partner to executive leadership. Reporting directly to the CFO, this Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting functions while helping drive financial strategy, operational efficiency, and scalable processes to support continued growth.

This position is ideal for a Controller who enjoys balancing technical accounting leadership with operational collaboration.

What You’ll Do

• As a Controller, you'll lead all accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, and sales tax compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting

• Own the month-end close process and continuously improve close timelines and accuracy

• Manage, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team

• Partner with the CFO and leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, and annual business planning

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational decision-making and profitability initiatives

• Support system optimization initiatives (ERP experience strongly preferred)

• Assist with annual audit coordination and external reporting requirements

• Prepare ad hoc reporting and financial analyses for executive leadership

• Lead special projects tied to expansion, scalability, and operational improvement

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience

• Prior Controller or Accounting Manager leadership experience

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices

• Experience within project-based environments highly preferred

• Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency
