Our client, a global leader in manufacturing and industrial packaging is seeking to hire a Controller in York, PA. This Controller will support 3–4 manufacturing plants through financial analysis, month‑end close, standard cost management, and continuous process improvement. This role partners closely with plant leadership, provides timely and accurate financial reporting, and delivers meaningful insights that drive operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Plant Leadership to identify cost‑reduction opportunities and monitor performance
- Analyze overhead, cost of sales, and manufacturing variances vs. budget/forecast
- Review and maintain standard costs; prepare reports on cost trends and product profitability
- Lead monthly close: journal entries, GL, inventory, fixed assets, and variance analysis
- Prepare plant financial statements, monthly outlooks, forecasts, and annual budgets
- Support internal audits and provide required documentation
- Strengthen internal controls and support corporate/operations accounting needs
- Drive sustainable process improvements and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business, etc.
- 5-10+ years progressive accounting experience; strong GAAP knowledge
- Extensive manufacturing and cost accounting experience
- Experience with internal controls and major ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and partner across teams
- Advanced Excel skills
- Willing to travel up to 25%
