Location: Denver, Co.
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000
Schedule: Flexible hybrid schedule, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a fast-growing, technology-driven organization seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join its collaborative finance team.
The Accounts Payable Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial operations while helping modernize and streamline payables processes. You’ll work closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure vendors are paid accurately, reporting deadlines are met, and systems continue to scale with company growth.
Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Accountant manages the full-cycle accounts payable function across multiple entities while supporting month-end close activities and financial compliance. This Accounts Payable Accountant role serves as a key liaison between vendors, internal departments, and the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Accountant
Process high-volume vendor invoices, expense reports, purchase orders, and credit memos
Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments through ACH, wire, and check processing
Review invoice coding and approvals across multiple general ledgers
Manage AP aging reports and proactively resolve discrepancies
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Prepare accruals and support financial reporting requirements
Support annual 1099 preparation and filings
Partner with internal teams to resolve invoice or payment issues
Administer corporate card and expense management programs
Accounts Payable Accountant Qualifications
3+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience
Strong understanding of AP workflows, internal controls, and accounting fundamentals
Experience working in multi-entity or high-growth environments preferred
ERP system experience required (NetSuite or similar strongly preferred)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and vendor relationship management skills
