Senior HR Analyst

Location: Madison, WI (Hybrid)
Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 + Bonus

A growing, data-driven organization in the greater Madison area is seeking a Senior HR Analyst to elevate its people analytics and HR systems capabilities. This role will serve as a key partner to HR leadership, finance, and business leaders by transforming HR data into actionable insights that support workforce planning, talent strategy, and organizational effectiveness.

The Senior HR Analyst will lead advanced reporting, dashboard development, and HRIS optimization—leveraging tools such as Oracle HCM and Power BI to enhance decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for HR analytics, reporting, and workforce data insights

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to track key HR metrics (turnover, retention, headcount, DEI, recruiting, compensation)

  • Extract, transform, and analyze HR data from Oracle HCM / HRIS and related systems

  • Deliver workforce analytics, trends, and predictive insights to HR and business leaders

  • Partner with HR leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategy initiatives

  • Ensure HR data integrity, governance, and reporting accuracy across systems

  • Support compensation and benefits analytics, including market benchmarking and pay equity analysis

  • Automate and streamline HR reporting processes to improve efficiency and scalability

  • Create executive-level presentations and reports translating data into business recommendations

  • Collaborate with IT and Finance on HRIS enhancements, integrations, and system upgrades

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or related field

  • 4+ years of HR analytics, HRIS, or workforce analytics experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle HCM, Oracle HRIS, or similar enterprise HR systems

  • Advanced Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboards, visualization best practices)

  • Experience with HR metrics, workforce planning, or compensation analytics

  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations

  • Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills

Preferred

  • Experience with SQL or data warehousing environments

  • Experience in multi-site or mid-to-large organization environments

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HR analytics certification

  • Experience supporting compensation or total rewards analytics
