About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a Cost Accountant who thrives in a dynamic production environment and enjoys working cross‑functionally to analyze, improve, and communicate cost and operational performance. This role is ideal for someone who wants broad financial exposure while building deep expertise in cost accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and analyze product costing, standard costs, and manufacturing variances.
- Support month‑end close activities, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Partner with operations to analyze production results, inventory movements, and cost drivers.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance reporting.
- Lead or assist in inventory reviews, cycle counts, and physical inventory.
- Prepare cost models and support pricing, margin analysis, and scenario planning.
- Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to stronger internal controls and financial processes.
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, or related finance experience.
- Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory concepts, and manufacturing cost flows.
- Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.
- Detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable interacting with non‑finance partners.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate financial insights for operations and leadership.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Exposure to FP&A, budgeting, or forecasting.
- Knowledge of variance analysis, BOMs, and routing structures.
