Staff Accountant - Key Responsibilities

• Support job costing and project accounting, including billing and cost tracking

• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations

• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations

• Partner with project managers to ensure accurate job cost reporting

• Maintain accurate financial records and support compliance-related documentation

• Use Excel to support reconciliations, reporting, and job cost analysis

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience in a construction, project-based, or operational accounting environment

• Strong accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, and reconciliations

• Experience supporting job costing, billing, or project accounting

• Intermediate Excel skills required, including formulas; pivot tables and V lookups preferred

• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software

• Construction or project accounting experience preferred but not required

• Degree preferred - will consider job experience in place of degree

• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to take initiative
