Payroll Specialist- Hybrid Schedule

Salary: $75,000–$85,000
Location: Columbus, OH- Hybrid 3 days/week in office

Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Payroll Specialist to join their payroll team and manage bi‑weekly payroll processing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to deepen their payroll expertise—particularly with UKG and multistate payroll.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:

• Process bi‑weekly payroll for 250+ employees, managing multiple payroll batches
• Prepare payroll-related transactions, including reimbursements, PTO payouts, garnishments, and deductions
• Review and verify the accuracy of timecards, PTO, and all garnishment/deduction setups
• Secure Treasury approval and ensure accurate payroll funding
• Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management, generate required reports, and maintain HRIS data integrity

Preferred Experience for the Payroll Specialist:

• Hands-on experience processing payroll using UKG
• Multistate payroll processing experience
• Experience with union payroll, certified payroll, or additional payroll complexities is a plus
