Title: Warehouse Technician

Location: OR-Hermiston
Shift: 6am - 2:30pm
Shift: Most shifts will be standard harvest schedules meaning they can fluctuate between 5am starts and 4pm ends.
Field Season: 5am - 1:30pm

Description:

This position will be working at the Hermiston R&D Center in Hermiston, Oregon. 
The Assistant will perform a variety of routine tasks associated with Spring warehouse seed management activities.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant will be responsible for performing a wide range of activities either on their own or in a group setting. 
• Spring Warehouse activities include following designated protocols, receiving, treating, splitting, organizing and inventory management of seed corn. 
• Support general facility operations including basic clean-up, organization of supplies, and other routine tasks as they arise. 
• The Assistant may also perform additional tasks as requested by the Supervisor.
• Assistant should be capable of performing with a high level of accuracy. 
• Frequent lifting and moving of seed and other supplies may be required (able to lift 50lbs as needed). 
• The ability to run a forklift preferred but not required. Preferred candidate will be detailed oriented and focused on being a team contributor.
• Extended position may also provide support for field activities including roguing, detasseling, data collection and harvest activities.
