• We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented legal professional to join our firm and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional client service. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while gaining valuable experience.
• The Associate Attorney is responsible for handling bankruptcy matters for the firm. They will utilize legal knowledge and experience to facilitate the bankruptcy process on behalf of our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparation, review, and approval of bankruptcy related pleadings.
• Handle all aspects of bankruptcy matters including Proof of Claims, Motions for Relief, Objections, Responses to Objections, Payment Change Notices, Settlements and Adversary Proceedings.
• Participation in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, in-person hearings.
• Regular client meetings/updates.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Maryland and Virginia State Bars.
• 0-3 years bankruptcy experience.
• Qualified applicants must reside in Baltimore, Maryland or Alexandria,Virginia.
• Ability to manage and prioritize large caseload.
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Effectively communicates with all clients (via client systems, e-mail, and phone).
• Provides exceptional client service.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance.
• Analytical and detail oriented, while working at a fast pace and capable of multi-tasking.
• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
