Job Description
Position Title: Associate Lab Support Technician
Work Location: Thousand Oaks, CA 91320
Assignment Duration: 06 Months
Work Schedule: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary: Operate animal husbandry-related equipment such as cage wash, autoclave, laminar air flow cabinets, and other equipment.
Routinely wash, autoclave, and prepare caging and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate animal husbandry-related equipment such as cage wash, autoclave, laminar air flow cabinets, and other equipment.
• Routinely wash, autoclave, and prepare caging and equipment.
• Provide care for laboratory animals.
• Provide husbandry and perform cage change procedures.
• Perform and report daily health observations, handling and restraint of laboratory animals, notably rodents.
• Maintain and organize (5S, lean management) laboratory spaces for success of research.
• Provide supplies and support for investigators conducting scientific experiments.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Ideal candidate is physically capable who can thrive in a hands-on, routine-driven cage wash environment.
• Ideal applicants will have experience in warehouse, production, manufacturing, or other physically demanding roles and be able to follow SOPs, retain training quickly, and work safely around cage wash equipment.
• Strong punctuality and consistent attendance are critical, as is the ability to meet a 7:00 AM onsite start time without conflict from secondary jobs or outside obligations.
• Candidates must live within 25–30 miles of the site for commute reliability, and be prepared to work full-time onsite in a team-oriented, structured environment.
