Position: Staff Medical Device Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6 Months
 
Responsibilities:

• You will lead the exploration and down-selection of manufacturing processes for new technologies and new system architectures.
• You will lead the prototyping of selected manufacturing processes to show feasibility of scaling up, and to facilitate prototype system manufacturing.
• You will implement problem solving skills and techniques to identify potential process risks, assess their impact, and develop and implement mitigation plans.
• You will collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to identify and implement process needs and requirements.
• You will plan and perform Design of Experiments (DOE) and utilize sig sigma methodologies to characterize, assess capabilities and optimize processes.
• You will perform statistically robust and industry standard analysis of data, and present findings to technical teams and to leadership teams.
• You will develop and maintain equipment and process documentation, managing release through the Quality Management System.
• You will lead or support equipment / process qualifications including protocol development and execution.

Required:

• Experimental Design / Data Analysis
• Problem-Solving
• Design Skills:  CAD – Solidworks

Preferred:

• Design for Six Sigma
• JMP or Minitab (data Analysis SW)
• Experience in Med Device
