Title: Line Mechanic
Location: Saint-Laurent, Quebec
Duration: 12 Months
Shift: Rotating Shift
 
Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure the setup and safe, efficient operation of packaging lines.
• Perform product changeovers, prepare and adjust equipment according to standard times, production schedule, assembly, and packaging instructions.
• Perform in-process quality checks during packaging.
• Implement improvements on the line to increase efficiency.
• Check the condition (wear) of critical line parts and replace them when necessary.
• Execute work orders within your area of expertise and close them in the SAP system.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and explain causes as well as preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Maintain setup sheets.
• During operations, carry out required tasks as described in the standard work to ensure smooth line operation and teamwork.

Basic Qualifications:

• DEP/DEC in Industrial Mechanics, Electrotechnics, or Electromechanics.
• Experience on pharmaceutical, food, or industrial packaging lines (ideal).
• French language required.
• Good team player and quick learner.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of vision systems is an asset (EXA, Systech).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Knowledge of various OHS aspects (lockout/tagout, etc.).
