POSITION DESCRIPTION
What You'll Do
• Provide experienced repair and maintenance of HVAC systems including boilers, chillers, air
handlers, VMA’s and water lines and pumps (including rooftop units)
• Maintain the county’s domestic drinking water system
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems with electrical controls, refrigeration systems and
pressurized hydronic systems
• Order parts and provide approved purchase order numbers to correct vendors
• Assist PFM staff in coordinating, overseeing, and working with outside contractors
• Install ductwork, plumbing, electric systems, and pneumatics.
• Perform flame checks on burners and boiler safety inspections.
• Maintain proper water treatment for heating and cooling systems.
• Clean and maintain steam and water boilers for inspections.
• Reclaim and recover refrigerant in compliance with EPA guidelines.
• Inspect and record HVAC equipment readings and monitor daily operations.
• Maintain inventory control, prepare daily work reports, and follow EPA regulations.
What You'll Need
• Any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience including but not limited to:
High School diploma or GED, supplemented by vocation/technical training in HVAC and six (6)
years of experience with HVAC systems
• Must maintain Ohio Driver's license
• Must obtain OSHA 10 Certification prior to completion of probationary period
• A Universal EPA certification is required
• Strength to lift 75lbs
