Job Description

Focus of Activity
• Assist in the daily general ledger (GL) operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Support the GL Supervisor in preparing and maintaining general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls in GL processes
 
Major Responsibilities
• Assist in posting daily journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing necessary journal entries and account reconciliations
• Perform fixed assets accounting as well as intercompany accounting
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts following company policies and accounting standards
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in general ledger accounts, working closely with other departments when necessary
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all GL-related transactions and processes
• Assist in audits by providing requested documentation and supporting financial data
 
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
• English advanced 85-90%
• 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting
• Experience with financial systems (S4/HANA or similar ERP) preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Basic understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting processes (US GAAP, IFRS)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order management
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
