Job Description
Location: Jayuya, PR.
Summary:
Set-up, adjust, and perform minor repairs on complex production equipment. May also operate equipment after set-up or monitor several machines for needed adjustments.

Summary:
Set-up, adjust, and perform minor repairs on complex production equipment. May also operate equipment after set-up or monitor several machines for needed adjustments.
Functions:
- Ensure that all products meet specified dimensions and tolerances by accurately measuring and recording data.
- Adjust and calibrate die settings to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Conduct screenings to identify and separate defective products from the production line.
- Visually inspect products for defects, inconsistencies, or non-conformities to maintain high quality standards.
- Regularly clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Create and print labels for product identification and tracking.
- Properly bag and tag rolls of product for storage and shipment.
- Stack and organize products on pallets for easy transportation and storage.
- Utilize batch trace software to track product batches and ensure traceability throughout the production process.
- Wrap finished products for protection during transportation and move them to designated storage areas.
- Continuously monitor the production process to ensure efficiency and identify any potential issues.
- Efficiently complete changeovers between different production runs, minimizing downtime.
- Keep batch boards updated with current production information to maintain accurate records and communication.
- Properly dispose of scrap materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials and products around the facility.
- Accurately create, maintain, and verify all necessary documentation for production processes and quality control.
- Provide support by covering for other operators during their break times to ensure continuous production.
- Carry out any additional tasks as directed by supervisors or management to support overall production.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum score of Silver on the Career Readiness Certificate is required.
- Must have basic computer skills, basic math skills, the ability to read and understand job instructions, and basic knowledge of tools.
- Must be able to write legibly and use a numbering system.
- Must understand and obey all safety rules and be able to perform all job tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- Must be willing to work overtime on weekends and off shift to cover absentees and vacations on other shifts.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Industrial/Mechanical experience and knowledge of extrusion preferred.
- Requires walking, lifting a minimum of 35 lbs., lifting above head, bending, twisting, pushing, stretching, squatting, pulling, reaching, standing, climbing, and carrying.
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift. Must pass forklift physical.
- Will work around heat and fumes.
- Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends.
- Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is required.
- Position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
