Join our dynamic Global Computational Biology and Digital Sciences (gCBDS) team at US research facility in Ridgefield, CT and play a pivotal role in discovering First-in-Class and Breakthrough drugs. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in a variety of cutting-edge areas, including cancer biology, genetics and omics approaches, and advanced computational tools incorporating AI. You will broaden your knowledge and become a well-rounded professional in the field of drug discovery.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Apply advanced statistics and machine learning technologies to support the identification of novel therapeutic targets, target validation, disease selection/expansion, and identification of translational biomarkers.
• Design and implement machine learning models to analyze large-scale genomic datasets from human disease studies.
• Learn and apply your experience in single cell and spatial transcriptomics data analysis to gain deeper biological insights.
• Learn and apply your experience in biological pathways, data visualization, network, and systems biology a plus.
• Interpret and present analysis results to colleagues and collaborators in a clear and concise manner.
• Apply and develop innovative analysis approaches when standard methods are not adequate.
• Maintain a high level of data integrity and ethics throughout the research process.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in the field by reviewing scientific literature and attending online courses/conferences.
Requirements:
• Strong scientific understanding and experience in statistical and machine learning approaches in
applying to bioinformatics.
• Experience in programming languages like Python and R.
• Good understanding of biology a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
Ph.D or Master’s degree in a related scientific discipline (Computer Science, Genomics, Biostatistics or Bioinformatics)
