Job Description

Job Title: Scientist II
Location: Ridgefield, CT 06877

Details:
This role will provide wet lab support for in-silico/ machine-learning guided design within our group. The primary responsibilities of this role will be related to the planning and execution of high throughput protein expression and characterization experiments in an independent manner. This will include work with cell culture, robotics, and general laboratory equipment. A successful candidate will be capable of working independently and be able to troubleshoot experimental procedures. 

As part of our team, you will work in a highly matrixed environment and support multiple projects at the same time. Timely completion of work and transparency with challenges is expected. You will also be responsible for routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and ordering of laboratory consumables. 

Skills:
Familiarity and hands on experience with protein expression and purification. Practical experience with protein characterization using biophysical assays is highly desirable. In additiona, experience with general molecular biology techniques such as PCR, vector cloning (infusion, gibson and golden gate), and construct design is a plus. Proficiency with computers and familiarity with data analysis software (GraphPad, excel, etc) is a requirement.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with three-plus (3+) years of experience in related scientific discipline or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in related scientific discipline or equivalent experience in related field.
