Description:
As a scientist, the candidate will contribute to the development, characterization, testing, and scale-up/down of automated and PAT (Process Analytical Technology) enabled mammalian cell culture process platforms for biotherapeutic manufacturing. The goal of this position is to advance innovation in our manufacturing capabilities by developing robust, scalable, automated, and data-driven cell culture processes for diverse early and late-stage biologics pipeline. The candidate will work in a cross-functional environment and in close collaboration with members from the Cell Culture Development, Process Analytical Technology, Data Sciences, Automation Engineering, and Bioanalytics teams.

Key responsibilities:
• Develop, characterize, and test an integrated and automated cell culture process platform and associated process strategies through the integration of sensing technology, data analytics and automation.
• Investigate, design, and independently execute research activities using the aforementioned process platform to improve cell culture process performance (productivity and/or product quality), optimize platform workflows, and deepen scientific understanding of cell culture production systems.
• Critically evaluate relevant scientific, technological, and regulatory literature to advance the proposed platform and its impact in our early and late-stage biologics pipeline.
• Lead efforts for industrialization and technology transfer of proposed automated cell culture process platform and associated process strategies within.
