Title: SAP Manufacturing Deployment Consultant Duration: 6 months with possibility of an extension Location: Remote with Site Visit required at necessary times - Once or twice a month will need to travel to Tempe, AZ
Reporting to. External consultant deployed as part of this engagement shall report into a client SAP Global Process Lead for Manufacturing (GPL) and will perform services and supporting tasks associated with the client SAP environment. Reports to and takes direction from the client SAP GPL.
Services Required: This description of services is not meant to be all exclusive and is subject to change should requirements change but core SAP MFG process design, support and deployment is central to the role.
Key Activities / Skills: Core SAP Expertise
Strong Knowledge of Discrete Manufacturing Processes in GXP Medical Device Industry
Strong Knowledge of S4 HANA PP / PP-PI and other core logistics modules such as QM, MM, PM
Strong knowledge of SAP MFG integration with non-SAP MES application a plus.
Strong knowledge of SAP EWM and integration with SAP MFG modules a plus
MFG OT Equipment Integration
Understanding of Operation technology integration with non-SAP MES and SAP MFG modules a plus.
Change Management
Strong change management leadership as part of SAP MFG solution deployment.
Work with local site team on clarifying incoming MFG solution and provide guidance and leadership to site to ensure site plans for and prepares for correct SOP / WI updates
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and provides open communication on all tasks
Work closely with Global client Process and BTS teams to define requirements, test standard and custom solutions and works closely with site team to confirm solution delivery in an agile delivery environment.
Provide inputs into the impact assessment of any changes to the functional requirements through project lifecycle(s).
Contributes to weekly project status report and team meetings including work stream status reports.
Project Delivery Phases some key tasks
Design
Support and lead elements of design sessions in combination with local site personnel and global client process leads and BTS teams to generate requirements
Lead Data Migration activities for MFG data objects and act as key liaison between local site and global client process teams to ensure smooth data migration of key data objects, Materials, BOMs, Routings / Master Recipes, Staging records etc.
Testing
Key Role in confirming solution build, matching to requirement defined
Lead user acceptance testing planning, execution and deployment phases of project delivery with local site teams
Analyses and helps resolve functional related issues during implementation phases and post deployment
Provides SAP functional knowledge and advice to other functional staff in project delivery
Training
Assists with the delivery of functional training activities to business resources
Helps provide knowledge transfer to internal client resources for ongoing ownership
Deployment
Leads Deployment to Production for MFG solution at local site level
Provide support during hyper care phase
General
Works with client throughout the duration of this SoW to provide consistency of approach and delivery with existing standards.
Provides updates on the completion of assigned activities and tasks.
Supports SAP System Build and Test and deployment
Supporting basic maintenance and support of 27 manufacturing sites
Involvement in divestment and acquisition projects (18 months) – supporting 2 sites with a MFG solution rollout
Involvement in SAP program and migration of SAP globally to a cloud-based enterprise setup (3 year program, kick off in JUN)
Involvement in projects to support strategy initiatives of human error reduction and digitization, and to maximise the efficient use of SAP across the network

1 Strong SAP Manufacturing Experience (SAP PP) and connected modules (SAP MM, EWM) 8yrs+ 2 Strong Communication Skills and capable of leading workshops with site users to calrify requirements 3 Strong Change Management Skills to migrate the site from “AS-IS” to the new “TO-BE” solution 4 Strong Technical Skills to be able to test and confirm MES / Automated Solution Integration 5. Good understanding of Data migration Process from one SAP ECC system to new S4 HANA solution
