Job Description

Title: Sales Development Rep/Account Manager
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid)

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Sales Development Representative with a keen eye for identifying and engaging in new business opportunities. Someone who thrives in fast-paced environments where your proactive approach and excellent communication skills allow them to build strong relationships with potential clients and stakeholders. Someone who's flexibility and adaptability ensure they can pivot and prioritize effectively as market conditions and client needs evolve. Detail-oriented and organized, someone who maintain's accurate records and documentation, ensuring the sales pipeline is always up-to-date and well-managed. 

Responsibilities:
 
Market Research and Competitive Analysis
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential new customers and industry trends.
  • Gather and analyze data on competitors, customer demographics, and market conditions.
Prospecting and Educating
  • Identify potential new customers using various research and networking resources.
  • Qualify leads to ensure they meet our target customer profile.
  • Track and suggest relevant industry events, conferences, and trade shows for potential participation.
Designing Pitch Decks and Communications
  • Create compelling and visually appealing pitch decks tailored to different client segments.
  • Draft comprehensive and persuasive emails that address specific client needs and feedback.
Prospect Tracking and Follow-Ups
  • Use CRM tools to accurately track and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities and progress towards targets.
  • Support regular follow-up with potential clients to nurture relationships and advance them through the sales pipeline.
Collaboration and Sales Strategy Development
  • Work closely with the executive team to align efforts and ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences to inform product development and marketing efforts.
 
Qualifications
  • Completed or currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a sales or business development role, preferably with data products and/or the financial planning industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve as part of a small, driven team.
  • Demonstrated ability to be nimble and flexible in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to sell to large enterprise clients.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take calculated risks to drive growth and success.
