Job Description

Position Title: Risk Analyst
Duration: 3 Months
Potential for this contract to be extended or converted to FTE? Potentially to convert to Full Time based on budget and performance. May be extended for a full 6 months based on approval.
Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid - Expecting 2 times per week in office
Office Location: Chicago, IL 60602 preferred; Open to Remote in US
Work Schedule (hours per week, start time): 37.5 Hours/week
What project will this contractor be working on? This is day to day operations only
 
Job Description:
  • Work with first-of-line defense teams to support revision and maintenance of policies and procedures.
  • Support the preparation of requests for information and reports to committees and leadership.
  • Support Corporate Security Risk and Governance efforts as needed: namely, the identification, documenting, and remediation of gaps or issues.
  • Support control testing in accordance with established standards and protocols to determine whether the controls are operating effectively.
  • Develop a working knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding Corporate Security program areas and support Regulatory Compliance Management within our department.
Must-Have Requirement:
  • 2-4 years of risk management experience.
  • Proficient in MS word, excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient with analytical reviews.
  • Assist in identifying gaps in controls or processes.
  • Review and assess requests for information, audit requests.
  • General understanding of risks, controls, and residual risk.
  • General understanding of three lines of defense.
  • Experience within a team environment. 
Nice to Have:
  • Operational Risk Mgmt Knowledge or Experience
  • Experience leading projects.
  • Experience or understanding of regulatory compliance, Internal Audit, SR-letters, etc.
  • Experience programming or developing metrics. 
Soft Skills:
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Able to make timely, fact-based decisions and act on these immediately for solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written skills are necessary.
  • Adaptable
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills are absolutely required.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
