Job Title – Restaurant Development - Development Support Duration – 6 Months with possible extension Location – Hybrid (1 day a week at Fort Lauderdale office)
Responsibilities: • Analyze new stores, remodels, relocations, closures, overall market performance to identify key drivers of success, risks, improvement opportunities, and learnings that can improve future development decisions. • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to track development activity, market planning progress, pipeline status, asset types, openings, remodels, relocations, closures, post-opening results, and key market-level KPIs. • Correlate market planning data with restaurant performance and cross-functional business KPIs, including operations, marketing, HR, digital, finance, and customer metrics, to understand how location quality, trade zone dynamics, asset type, execution, staffing, marketing support, and operational performance influence store results. • Support franchisees, Development Managers, and leadership teams with clear analysis and recommendations for new openings, relocations, closures, remodels, asset-type decisions, and portfolio performance improvement. • Assist in evaluating site location quality, trade zones & catchment areas, competitive intensity, customer access, demographics, traffic generators, cannibalization risk & sales transfers, trade zone overlaps, and portfolio fit for potential new stores, relocations, closures, and market changes. • Monitor key QSR development metrics, including opening performance, ramp-up curve, sales density, store-level productivity, remodel impact, closure impact, competition impact and performance ,asset-type productivity, trade zone overlaps, and sales transfer. • Support post-opening reviews to evaluate whether new stores are meeting expectations, understand performance gaps, and improve future site selection, trade zone definition, and market planning decisions. • Help identify white-space opportunities, underpenetrated trade areas, priority growth zones, portfolio gaps, and market expansion opportunities to support unit growth and long-term market development strategy. • Support the CoE Market Planning Lead and Development Managers in improving market planning methodology, processes, tools, templates, standard reports, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to increase consistency across markets and franchisee discussions.
Required: Power BI (intermediate level, dashboard creation from scratch) Data integration from multiple sources/entities GIS platform experience Market planning / market analysis experience Business intelligence experience (3–5 years) Bachelor’s degree required (Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Planning, Engineering, Data Analytics or related field)
Nice to have skills: SQL Excel Python (plus) QSR or retail expansion experience (preferred but not required) Spanish language (strong plus) Portuguese language (plus-plus) Position is offered by a no fee agency. Location : Corporate - 521-Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA
