Job Description We are seeking a Research Scientist for our Compound Management (CM) Group at BR San Diego to work in a highly automated, interactive, and fast-paced environment to enable efficient compound distribution locally and worldwide. As a member of the global CM community, you will help accelerate drug discovery through operational excellence in a flexible and dynamic environment. Your responsibilities will include performing regular operation and maintenance of laboratory robotics, as well as utilizing web-based software tools. These tasks will involve handling solutions from semi-automated and automated stores, using instruments for weighing, dissolution and solution transfers, and assisting with shipments of orders between sites and/or CROs. Key Responsibilities • Fulfillment of dry and solution-based compound sample requests for local and/or global sites and for external collaborators • Retrieval and storage of compounds from automated and semi-automated stores • Operation of laboratory robotics requiring machine setup and post-processing procedures using established lab protocols • Maintain and troubleshoot the automation with input from senior lab members to ensure quality • Manual compound weighing
Qualifications • BS or equivalent degree in chemical or biological sciences with 1-5 years of industry experience required. • Previous experience operating and troubleshooting various instrumentation is highly desired • Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills with a collaborative team-oriented mindset • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
