Position: Reference and Core Claims Content Librarian
Location: Princeton Pike, NJ
Duration: 12 Months


Position Summary
The Content Management team is evolving enterprise content capabilities and establishing an enterprise content strategy that enables the business to meet the needs of customers and patients by customizing information with speed. We are focusing on improving customer experience by establishing content capabilities focused on need, relevancy, timeliness, and speed of information. This role will focus on setting up, maintaining, and managing a global centralized library of references to support content creation and submitting materials for Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review and approval. This role will also provide user support and data entry for the Digital Asset Management system (DAM) which serves as the central repository for all marketing materials, and Veeva Vault PromoMats. This role will harvest and enter reusable assets including images, text, claims, and metadata from existing content for upload into Veeva PromoMats. This role will be responsible for QCing newly added claims and references to the PromoMats library. The team troubleshoots issues for users worldwide regarding issues with claims, references, atoms, and modules.

Top 3-5 skills:
1. Scientific background, familiarity with different medical reference types, and medical terminology. Experience managing reference/core claims library with deep expertise in content review and approval, preferably in Veeva Vault PromoMats
2. Understanding of modular content, creative assets files, and linking medical references to claims structure
3. Proficient and understanding and maintaining metadata and taxonomy structures
4. Stong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with other teams and agencies
5. Offer user support, feedback, and answer questions about references and core claims library within the Medical/Legal/Regulatory review and approval system (Veeva Vault PromoMats) 

Content Management Capabilities
References and Core Claims

• Assist with the setup of centralized reference & core claims library, collaborating with markets/brands on the initial setup of references and claims within the review and approval system library
• Coordinates initial ingestion and setup of core claims and linking to references in the centralized library
• Provides medical reference librarian functional expertise to support a capability standard and implement an operating model across markets in support of the centralized content management strategy
• Offer user support and feedback on references and core claims library within the Medical/Legal/Regulatory review and approval system (Veeva Vault PromoMats)
• Guide agency partners on the proper submission of references and links to claims

Veeva Vault PromoMats
• Ensure all metadata for image and illustration rights is entered into the Veeva Vault PromoMats library
• Review quality and QC metadata of modular content submitted for upload to PromoMats library
• Ensure all necessary components are included with submitted files
• Create PDFs for system thumbnails or convert PDFs to ADOBE files
• Liaise with agencies on file receipt
• Provide user support in multiple countries; overcome language obstacles
• Provide new-user access and site usability training as needed
• Standardize metadata and taxonomy for asset entry
• Perform file retrieval for user inquiries

Key Responsibilities
• Provide support to markets on initial setup, ingestion, and maintenance of references and a core claims library within the enterprise review and approval system (Veeva Vault PromoMats)
• Partner with Medical to manage references uploaded into the system to ensure references are appropriate and accurate
• Engage with the business and agencies to upload and manage core claims into the system and ensure claims are appropriately tagged and linked to their references
• Ensures core claims and references are updated in PromoMats as changes occur to the content
• Provide user support, guidance, and training regarding linking submitted materials to the references and core claims library in preparation for review and approval
• Manage reference library metadata, including quality assurance of content delivered to the library, ensuring reference and claims are tagged appropriately and is searchable
• Maintains the library’s collections in support of the overall content strategy, ensuring the content meets appropriate metadata standards according to the operating model for referencing and core claims
• Maintain reference and claims library relevancy, working with Medical/Regulatory, conduct periodic audits of the information on file
• Assists content team with the implementation of content systems including user acceptance testing

Qualifications & Experience
• 4-year bachelor’s degree, or other degree in Life Sciences. Library Science degree preferred.
• Scientific background, familiarity with different medical reference types, and medical terminology. 1-2 years experience managing reference/core claims library with deep content review and approval expertise.
• Experience managing and maintaining a global library of references and core claims preferably within Veeva PromoMats.
• Candidate should possess skills within content management capabilities with deep understanding of pharmaceutical referencing and core claims.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Veeva Vault PromoMats
• Proficient in understanding creative assets files and linking medical references to claims structure.
• Proficient in understanding and maintaining metadata/taxonomy schemes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with other teams to build relationships and alignment.
• Excellent planning, prioritization, management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to influence and manage agencies and partners
