Job Title: React Developer Location: Chicago, IL 60604 – 3 days onsite per week Duration: 06 Months possibility of extension - There could be extension beyond that, but depends on budget approvals
Skillset:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is highly preferred
5-7+ years of proven experience as a React Developer with a strong portfolio of accessible web applications.
In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines, including WCAG and Section 508
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification in accessibility (e.g., IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) is a plus.
Additional Notes:
The team has a lot of accessibility changes that need to take place. They had a team do an audit to outline what they need to do to make those changes, so a tentative recommended solution has been put in place. They now need someone to implement the recommended solution and do the development work tied to those items.
MUST be an independent worker
They are double A compliant, so need someone who has working knowledge of accessibility
They do test React skills and this person will have to code for the assessment - something for candidates to be aware of!
