Job Description

Title: Project/Program Manager IV
Location Bellevue, WA/Nashville, TNPotentially up to 15% travel [could be anywhere across the US]
Duration: 11 months 

Job description:
  • Responsible for Preconstruction Management for retrofit, expansion and initiative industrial building projects/programs. Oversees all aspects of design, schedule, budgeting, ensuring coordination and risk mitigation for on-time delivery.
  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program. Responsible for ensuring compliance design criteria, spending and transaction policies, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program.
  • May require a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Familiar with a variety of the design and construction concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
 
Team culture:
  • Team of individual contributors.  Each person has dedicated projects that they work on, not as a group.  Manager will provide certain guardrails that the individual will need to work in.
  • Hands off environment, minimal micromanaging.  Lots of ambiguity in this role.  Individual should be able to try certain avenues and identify when they need assistance.
  • Team has to be built with doers.  Expected to find the information and make the best decisions that they can.
  • Very high volume in this division, role is not suited for a perfectionist.  Have to be willing to take risks and learn from it.  And share those learning experiences.
  • Internal stakeholders as high as Senior VP.  Some products are pushed by Ops Managers.  Requestors can range from a L5 to an L11.  Will have to be able to adjust what you’re delivering depending on organizations, etc.
  • Role is also working with external vendors.  Support sourcing designing teams and IC’s.
  • Must deliver realistic outlooks to customers with execution.
 
Role interesting:
  • The major selling point is that this division is at the starting point of initiatives for this division.  If you join this team will have the ability to define the processes of lifecycle management for buildings, as its not fully defined yet.
  • Setting up the building blocks to ensure there is proper lifecycle in place.
 
Required Skills
  •  Building design, building constructions background. 
  • Engineering background
  • BlueBeam, BIM360, Ausana a plus, AutoCAD exp [must have], Microsoft Office Suite [required], MS Project [nice to have but not must-have]. ProCore.  Chime, Zoom type background a must-have
 
Years of Experience:
  • 7 plus year’s experience in a related field. [preferred]
  • Will accept 6 plus years only if high volume vendor management past experience
 
Degree or Certification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
 
Top 3 must-have hard skills
  • Building design, building constructions background
  • Engineering background
  • Microsoft Office Suite, Chime/Zoom type background a Must
