Job Description

The Sustainability Program Manager will work crossfunctionally across a subset of Amazons Existing Buildings and Expansion portfolio to develop, implement and lead sustainability initiatives. The candidate is expected to manage a range of stakeholder interests and support related internal communications and change management initiatives.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and own the 2040 NZC Glidepath for multiple building formatsPrioritize the most impactful carbon reduction initiatives for Sustainable BuildingsPlan and execute implementation of initiatives across the portfolioDefine and test new innovative solutions to unlock future carbon reduction initiativesBuild out and support reporting mechanism to track impactLead collaborative monthly weekly reviews to align stakeholders across the orgEstablish crossfunctional relationships in order to leverage resources and integrate onto larger companywide initiativesgoalsWHAT WERE LOOKING FORThe ideal candidate is a demonstrated specialist whos ready to think big, conceptualize a lofty vision, and execute it to completion. They are passionate about sustainability, and will speak truth to power on what matters for sustainable living, even if it competes with our standard operating procedures. They are willing to roll up their sleeves and execute projects independently, but can also earn trust and build relationships across the organization to leverage existing frameworks.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS6 years of relevant work experience in store design, construction, operations, or sustainabilityBachelors Degree in Industrial, Structural or Mechanical engineering, or a relevant studyExperience using data and metrics to drive improvementsExperience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadershipExperience with design and implementation of sustainability programs related to construction materials, energy, waste management etc.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge in high volume industrial operations or facilities managementExperience working with procurement to drive sustainable product selectionExcellent written and verbal communication.PMP, LEED or Well Accredited
