Position: Project/Program Manager II Location: Remote (Michigan) Duration: 6 Months
Job Description: Project Eclipse is a strategic top-down greenfield selling initiative to drive new customer acquisition for AWS by leveraging GSI partnerships. By working backwards from customer business outcomes, Eclipse positions AWS as the cloud provider of choice, capitalizing on GSIs' established relationships, industry knowledge, and influence at the c-suite level to identify and jointly deliver solutions. The project targets large enterprise accounts including G2K and Premier, aligning to a top growth initiative for AWS. We only have one dedicated PDM assigned to manage the initiative and have scaled the program to include 6 active partners. The workload has become too much for one person and we need temporary support to assist in administering the program to most effectively drive results.
Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program. May require a bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
