The client is hiring a full-time Account Manager to join the Ad Sales team. As an Account Manager you will play a key role in the success of our team by strategically building sales plans, accurately processing orders, and optimizing ongoing campaigns in a fast paced sales environment. You will use your excellent communication skills and solution-oriented critical thinking to interact with clients and podcast hosts to find beneficial alignments. Your attention to detail will ensure that information shared internally and externally is accurate and polished. As part of a leading company in a quickly evolving industry, you will take part in setting new standards and processes for the future of podcasting.
Key job responsibilities
• Work closely with Account Executives to assist in all aspects of the pre-sale cycle
• Build client presentations, media schedules, RFPs, and post-campaign recaps
• Input planning details and process insertion orders in order management system
• Understand company best practices and policies and ensure orders adhere to them
• Partner with Ad Operations to ensure successful campaign execution
• Monitor campaign performance and work with client and internal teams to optimize
• Work with Finance team to resolve invoicing questions
• Manage pre-sale communication with podcast hosts
• Take ownership on sales operations projects

This role supports the sales team with planning, research, presentations and recaps, account management and document maintenance.               * Brief summary of position and its key responsibilities: As an Account Manager you will play a key role in the success of our Sales Team by strategically building sales plans, accurately processing orders, and optimizing ongoing campaigns in a fast paced sales environment that is never boring. As part of the team at a leading company in a quickly evolving industry, you will be a part of setting new standards and processes for the future of the industry.
* This person will support the entire sales process for the account executives they are assigned, own the client experience throughout the life of the campaign.
* Due to the teams flat structure, the position spans a wide range of duties, from operational to client communication to talent liaison, so it provides opportunity to get a wider view of the business. We have elevated Account Managers to Account Executives.
* This person will be responsible for building client presentations, managing pre-sale activities, ensuring adherence to company policies, partnering with various teams for campaign execution and handling post-campaign activities.
* This position entails setting new standards in the podcasting industry, working closely with Account Executives Ad Operations, and the Finance team to support sales operations, manage client and podcast host interaction and take on sales operations projects.
 
* Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* An ideal candidate would have 2 years experience working with media (selling or buying) – could be a buyer from an agency or sales team from a publisher – don't have to be in podcast – TV, radio, film are OK
* Experience with broadcast, audio or digital sales
* Familiarity with the concepts of media buying (KPIs, CPMs, etc.) and general understanding of the sales process
* Preferred Qualifications:
* ·1-2 years of audio or digital media experience, sales or buy side
· Experience in client-facing roles

* Ownership - Must have a roll up their sleeves and pitch in attitude, should stay in touch with projects even when passed on to other teams to complete, and be willing to jump in and fill identified gaps, even when they are outside of familiar territory.
* Deliver Results - Must be able to deliver on projects on external deadlines, this is key to the role as missing deadlines can risk losing business or revenue. Must also be able to prioritize effectively in face of multiple conflicting deadlines or simultaneous needs.
* Insist on Highest Standards - Accuracy of work is crucial with for the planning and data entry duties of the role. Must display attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work. Should be able to fix root cause of issue rather than leaving a process broken.

* Customer Obsession - The role’s customer are external (ad clients, podcast hosts/producers) and internal (Account Executives, Ad Ops). Candidate will need to learn the needs and wants of their clients, and help guide and educate them to the best long-term solutions, while providing an excellent customer experience. Would have solid communication style with internal and external customers and ability to tailor message to recipient, and proactive approach to tasks, seeking out solutions before being asked when problems arise.
