Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager/Scrum Master
Location: Toronto - Bremner
Duration: 6 months
 
The Corporate Information Services (CIS) team is currently seeking candidates for a Project Manager/Business Analyst role based in Toronto, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Human Resources and managing Hyper automation projects that contribute to the future of HR.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage technical activities between MMC Tech teams and Human Resources
  • Creates and maintains all documents that support the PMO Methodology
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide support to IT project personnel to ensure business needs are met.
  • Follow procedures and ensure project workflow and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Conduct and participate in meetings, identifying additional follow-up needs.
  • Manage project artifacts, including project plans, RAID log management, and status reporting.
  • Assist in business analyst responsibilities when required, such as gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing business processes, defining and documenting business requirements, facilitating collaboration, supporting testing and QA, and providing ongoing support and training.
  • Manage project timelines to ensure projects are delivered within scope and on schedule.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing appropriate contingency plans as needed.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in project management and technology.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and tools to succeed.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and security protocols.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
 Key Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a project manager and familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience implementing work following an agile framework.
  • Scrum Master experience.
  • Agile/Scrum transition experience.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to gather requirements for use cases and collaborate to define project scope.
  • Experience working in a technical development environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Experience supporting global applications.
  • Relevant education and/or certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience managing multiple applications and projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end development frameworks.
  • Scrum Master certification.
