Project Manager Nashville, Tennessee 37219 (Hybrid – 2 days per week) 12 Months The Role:
The Team is looking for a self-motivated and process driven professional to join our organization as a Project Manager.
The Project Manager should possess the skills necessary to oversee and execute technology projects throughout the various phases.
Under general supervision of the IT Manager of the PMO (Project Management Office), a successful candidate will manage technology projects using the Waterfall and/or Agile Methodology, utilize the standard templates, processes, and tools established by the PMO, schedule and lead project meetings, provide status updates on projects, as well as manage the scope, time, and budget of projects.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:
Develop or update plans for projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
Determine time, cost, resources, and materials needed to complete the project.
Manage project execution to adhere to schedule.
Coordinate activities of project personnel and coordinate the assignment of project work according to plan and schedule.
Develop and maintain work breakdown structure (WBS).
Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify problems and resolve/escalate as appropriate.
Identify and manage project dependencies and project change control process.
Keep current with emerging project management skills, methodologies, and technologies.
Analyze data or information: tracks and reports project actuals against project plan.
Establish and manage stakeholder expectations.
Assist with tracking and monitoring of project budget.
Assist in the tracking and reporting of team hours and expenses.
Monitor and report on project schedule including critical path.
Identify risks and develop contingency plans.
Conduct project reviews
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Ability to lead project teams
Experience with the Waterfall Methodology
Experience with the Agile Methodology and Scrum Framework
Experience working with project tracking tools such as Jira
Education / Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Sciences and Technology, and Project Management, or other related degree and two years of professional level experience in project coordinating, project management, or business information systems. Experience working with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Experience with court operations and business processes preferred.
Substitutions of Experience for Education: Professional level experience in systematic analysis of overall work processes for business information systems, business process analysis, computer systems implementation, business information systems or project management may be substituted for the required bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
