Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager II
Duration: 06 months
Location: Remote - open to all time zones
Must-Have Skills:
  • 3+ years of relevant or related Program or Project Management experience
  • Experience high level communications for a broader audience while meeting timelines
  • Track record of operating independently and delivering results, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner.
Nice-to-have Skills:
  • Basic HTML experience, or Basic Web design elements.
  • General knowledge of research and/or UX design.
  • Experience working in Tech, FAANG companies.
Years of Experience:    
  • 2-4 years
Degrees/Certifications Required:
  • Relevant experience is okay, no degrees or certifications required
Responsibilities:
  • General project management & coordination.
  • Drive and support projects and initiatives for the Research Policy Team.
  • Move initiatives forward, raise concerns to appropriate owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress. Hold the line when the schedule or progress is in jeopardy while maintaining respectful relationships.
  • Predict roadblocks and obstacles and prioritize competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions.
  • Contribute to processes and tools, updating documentation and initiating improvements where needed.
  • Provide flexible approaches that meet the team’s needs, including the ability to move fast and make progress or navigate blocks quickly.
  • Resource creation and maintenance on our internal knowledge database.
  • Manage content development and editing for our internal team digests.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of relevant or related Program or Project Management experience.
  • Excellent organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record of operating independently and delivering results, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner.
  • Ability to be successful in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and keen ability to identify problems and proactively work towards solutions.
  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of HTML and basic website page design elements.
  • General knowledge of research and/or UX design.
  • Experience working in Tech.
Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Research Policy, global research operations.
  • Support researchers at meta, provide operational support for them, a team of program managers. Program, project management experience.
  • 1st project heavily focused on the team’s wiki, communication projects in general
  • 2nd project: Communications related, team sends out newsletters and updates to the community, this candidate will compile and edit this for a wider audience
  • Day to Day- CWAM will have weekly touch points to discuss any issues or just about progress
  • Follow a pretty set cadence, will have set expectations one what needs to be completed and when, but will have occasional urgent tasks.
Purpose/Size of this team & where does this position fit within the team:
  • The immediate Research policy team is small, but the overall global research team is 60 plus, and once in a while will collaborate with the broader team.

  • Supporting research and researchers at client. Front row seat in research such as A.I and cutting-edge technology.
Value added or experience gained:
  • For someone who has a communications background, this is the complete day to day, and will also gain project manager experience.
