Job Title: Project Manager Associate
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Remote - must work in PST hours
 
Job Description:
  • This position contributes to the client's success by leading teams on small to mid-size Global Technology projects focused on platform & process enhancement.
  • As an associate project manager, you will partner closely with IT and business stakeholders, collaborating on project planning and execution, and project delivery.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Manages assigned projects with an understanding of business and IT context.
  • Drives small cross-functional projects, leading co-located teams.
  • Works with direct guidance from senior program management leadership.
  • Performs core project management duties, including guiding the project through formal approval and funding gates; developing a project plan that includes a detailed budget, project timeline, detailed task-driven schedule, project RACI and resource plan, and communication plan; and managing project execution from analysis/design through build, test, and deployment.
  • When leading an Agile project, partners closely with the scrum master and product owner on all activities.
  • Ensures that project status reports are relevant, transparent, and add value.
  • Partners with relevant IT and business hiring managers to ensure that the project has the skillsets and resources required for delivery.
Summary of Experience
  • Project management experience or work in a technology or software development setting (2+ years)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.

Acumen and Learning Agility:
  • Basic understanding of standards and practices for IT project lifecycle management activities and deliverables.
  • Basic understanding of project technical activities, including: (1) solution analysis and design; (2) enterprise, solution, and infrastructure architecture; (3) systems integration; (4) data conversion and migration; (5) environment management and build processes; and (6) deployment planning and execution.
  • Skilled in the MS Office Product Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
 
Our “ideal” candidate will have: 
  • Strong background in accounting, financial process & reconciliation
  • Experienced in data & data analysis, with the ability to provide story telling and visualization of data.
  • Experienced creating Power Point decks for our stakeholder, leadership audience.
  • Comfortable with navigating through ambiguity
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project+ from a financial tracking perspective
Must-Have:
  • Project management experience or process management experience – enable projects
  • Skill: Strong background in accounting, financial process & reconciliation – portfolio health
  • Skill: Experienced in data & data analysis, with the ability to provide story telling and visualization of data – story telling through data to report out on progress
