Description:
  • Support day-to-day administrative activity related to grants
  • prepare and coordinate aspects of grant submissions: collection, coordination, and updating internal documents, data, budgets, and other information from PIs / GAs, as well as subcontracting institutions
  • Assist with written correspondence for grant applications, renewals, modifications, carryforward requests, and other research-related communication
  • Draft emails and letters
  • Manage administrative aspects of modest scope projects such as updating data on spreadsheets with input from various team members as well as department contacts
  • Serve as liaison between departments and outside partners to process grant paperwork
  • Draft meeting agendas, schedule meetings; compiling and disseminate materials for meetings; record meeting minutes and disseminate
  • Draft content for and design PowerPoint decks
  • Interview various people to inform preparation of materials
  •  Undergo training in sub-contract preparation process, prepare sub-contracts, and enter them into database
Experience
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office Suite (particularly MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Comfort learning new software
  • Solid time-management abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma and 3-5 years of experience
  • Budgeting experience a plus
