Job Description

Job Title: Project Analyst
Location: Irwindale, CA (Fully Remote)
Duration: 12 months Assignment

Notes: 

Candidate must live in California and work on PST time. May have to come in office on a one-off situation (not often)
This is a functional role. Utilities background is not needed but a plus. The successful candidate will be working on the deteriorated poles project. Must understand project management from beginning to end.
Previous experience in project management theories and practices using IPSEC model.
Must have 2 years experience in project management.
Day to Day will include: Intake of scope, Tracking and lifting constraints, Gathering all necessary documents to lift constraints, And logging all issues that arise.

1.) Organized in tracking and reporting out project progress and timelines to leadership and key stakeholders
2.) Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, & sorting/filtering

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical support to review and process work order packages, secure material, and ensure the work is authorized to proceed for construction.
  • Research, analyze, interpret sophisticated data, and problem solve.
  • Obtain project status, update and maintain the project tracking database, and work with the appropriate project team member to help remove obstacles throughout the project’s lifecycle.
  • Support project managers in tracking and reviewing in-flight projects with project team by participating\nin monthly tactical meetings and ad-hoc project status meetings.
  • Provide data on status of projects and their requirements, clarify issues and ensure that Region personnel receive the appropriate support for the successful completion of projects.
  • Verify, analyze, and update information in Primavera 6 (P6), SAP and Design Manager (DM) systems as well as Excel.
  • Complete monthly reporting activities and support ad-hoc data requests.
  • Maintain a safety conscious work environment, by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
Required Skills
Two years of experience tracking and reporting project progress and timelines.

Desired:
  • Experience using P6 to track project progress.
  • Electric distribution experience.
  • Experience in project management theories and practices using IPSEC model.
  • Experience crafting and maintaining records, logs, documents, files, or databases for use in monitoring, tracking, and trending program/project costs, budget and production variance, resources, schedules, and status for management with attention to detail.
  • Experience reviewing, updating, and preparing reports, documents, or correspondence for internal and external customers to provide project updates and status with attention to detail.
  • Experience performing risk analysis, capturing documents, and researching data on assigned topics, using databases, files, spreadsheets, or other sources.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects/assignments concurrently with minimal oversight under tight timelines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and SAP.\nAbility to integrate work across relevant areas, manage information, and provide outstanding service to internal and external customers
Education:  Associate's Degree
