Job Description

Title: Marketing Project Manager
Duration: 18 Months
Location: Irwindale, CA, 91702 - This is a hybrid role - need to be onsite two days per week on Weds & Thurs

Notes:
This is not a developer, just general SFMC experience on drip campaigns.  The manager has developers and agencies to manage the execution.  The role is primarily project management  of SFMC email campaigns.

What are they trying to automate? Planning a marketing automation campaigns (automated email campaigns) is a standard practice within the industry.  This candidate will not do the programming and coding, but they must know how to plan the strategy around a marketing automation campaign.
 
Is this person going to be managing campaigns end to end or just purely focused on developing marketing communication plans?   Both.
 
What are the top 3 must-have requirements?  Marketing / agency experience.  Must understand how to execute a marketing campaign end-to-end working with an agency.  Flexible – our processes are not easy and some what antiquated.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes technical skills and marketing expertise to develop, implement, and optimize automated marketing program campaigns and collects marketing requirements from stakeholders and convert them into technical requirements for IT groups. This is based on the existing capabilities of clients marketing technologies.
  • Oversees project management execution for marketing communications activities including campaigns and content that supports the customers journey and aligns to the selling process
  • Oversees the development of marketing communications campaigns by understanding media coverage and industry trends and developing fresh story ideas to propel clients forward
  • Manages and supervises campaigns, ensuring that they are executed within the guided framework and that the campaign complies with the organisations marketing plans and objectives
  • Monitors key metrics to measure the effectiveness of our communications efforts and to make data-driven decisions to improve our strategy
  • Shapes and oversees strategic marketing communication plans, including developing plans in line with other business initiatives, communicating plans internally and securing leadership approvals
  • Review analytics and customer feedback to proactively identify and improve the experiences and satisfaction of our customers
  • Working in collaboration with product or program owners, responsible for all aspects of strategic campaign development, measurement and execution of client’s marketing, digital and customer lifecycle nurture programs
  • Achieve operational efficiency via effective implementation plans (e.g.,. optimal channel mix, targeted communications, relevant offers, relevant messaging)
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Required Skills:
Seven or more years of experience in marketing, advertising or communications.

Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
  • Experience implementing automated offer management using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent enterprise-grade multi-channel marketing hub.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Experience with multi-channel marketing strategy and planning (media, banner, radio, etc) driven by sophisticated analytics and data modeling.
  • Utility or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • Experience with enterprise marketing software – Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, Adobe Exp. or Cloud.
  • Ability to work independently and in fast paced environment
