Job Description

Job Title: Program Manager – Radiology PACS Integration (Specialty)
Duration: 12 months
Location: 100% Remote
 
Justification for Specialty Designation
This role warrants Specialty classification due to its highly technical and domain specific requirements.
The Program Manager must possess:
Deep and specific expertise in PACS systems, radiology imaging workflows, and complex Merge PACS implementations
Strong technical understanding of infrastructure, network security, dedicated circuits, servers, firewalls, switches, and vendor provided hardware
 
Role Summary
The Program Manager – Radiology PACS Integration (Specialty) leads the definition, coordination, and execution of complex PACS overlay programs supporting radiology service provider transitions across multiple Ascension ministries. This position oversees fast paced schedules, multi site dependencies, and critical go live milestones that directly impact patient care operations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead complex, expedited PACS overlay programs tied to radiology service provider replacements.
• Manage a portfolio of concurrent, fast paced projects typically operating on 45 day implementation cycles.
• Coordinate cross functional efforts across radiology, clinical teams, network/security, infrastructure, imaging informatics, and vendors.
• Oversee implementation of dedicated ISP circuits and vendor provided systems (servers, switches, firewalls, security components).
• Maintain ownership of overall program scope, requirements, budget, schedule, communications, and delivery quality.
• Manage program level strategic planning, executive reporting, risk mitigation, and issue escalation.
• Provide leadership to matrixed resources, including internal associates, contractors, and third party partners.
• Ensure structured project management activities including:
o Requirements gathering and documentation
o Project estimation, scheduling, and tracking
o Budget oversight and reporting
o Risk and contingency planning
o Multi level stakeholder communications
• Support extended hour work periods when required to meet critical cutover deadlines and avoid hospital diversion impacts.
 
Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong experience implementing Merge PACS or similar complex PACS solutions.
• Technical knowledge of PACS system requirements and radiology imaging workflows.
• Experience managing large scale healthcare imaging or infrastructure programs with tight timelines.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow PPM tools and ability to work within enterprise PMO structures.
• Solid understanding of technical infrastructure including circuits, servers, switches, firewalls, and network security.
• Proven project estimation, scheduling, tracking, and implementation planning experience.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, manage competing priorities, and thrive in changing environments.
• Strong team leadership and cross functional coordination skills.
• Ability to rapidly learn business processes and collaborate effectively across organizational levels.
• Strong risk assessment and mitigation skills.
• Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in large, multi-platform environments.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies.

Education & Certifications
• PMP or PMI certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
