Job Description

Job title: Production Technician - Strip Pack - 2nd Shift
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana, 46256
Duration: 12 months
Schedule: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm Monday-Friday, occasional weekends required


Experience preferred, but not required:
  • Machine Operator skills.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in a GMP environment.
  • Experience in an ISO environment.
Skill requirements:
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Machine experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Adaptable.
  • Approachable/Friendly/Positive Attitude/Pleasant to work with.
  • Team Player.
  • Quick learner.
Must-Haves:
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.

Preferred Skills:
  • Must be computer savvy.
Education Requirements:
  • GED/HSDPF.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Key responsibility in supporting (diabetic testing strips) packaging.
  • Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the packaging of testing strips.
  • Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
  • Comfortable with using technology-driven software and its operation.
  • Assisting with packaging and labeling vials and finished products.
  • Operating and monitoring machinery and performing cleaning of the machine as needed.
  • Loading boxes, vials, and pamphlets into machines to be packaged and distributed with products.
  • Lift and carry products and materials to the QC area, recycling, trash, or other areas.
  • Use a pallet jack to move material and product on pallets for other areas and place them in a staging area.
  • Audit the packaged material.
  • Performing quality control measures on incoming components.
  • Inspect all parts, orders, and equipment for quality/safety.
  • Individual responsibility for personal and area safety.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
