Overview: The Production Technician position offers an excellent entry-level opportunity for recent university graduates and experienced individuals interested in production and manufacturing operations for vaccine production. This role involves supporting the manufacturing process through hands-on activities, including sterile supply assemblies and media formulations, while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Key Responsibilities:Performs various operational tasks as part of an empowered team: (30% - Clean Room Mgt/Materials) Set-up & breakdown of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) space/equipment, accurately & efficiently moves process materials (up to 50lbs) in accordance w/ procedure.
Works in compliance w/ procedures, doc.'s, gov. regulations, safety pgrms (appropriate SOP's), follow lean mfg principles & current mfg practices (cGMPs). Manage inv. & tasks for aseptic growth.
Equipment prep & movement. (60% - Operations Support) perates/monitors equipment (incl. but not limited to ; RCCS, shell freezers, Wheaton Carts, Tube Welders) as deemed by skill level to set QC status & expiry of sterile equipment, provides materials & support/maintain equipment, systems knowledge (SAP, MES, Kanbans, PLC), sample dlvry.
Labeling & Inventory mgt of clean/sterile equipment, tsfr of samples .(10% - Info Tsfr) Saftey training/compliance events.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be comfortable with not smoking during work hours as the client is completely smoke-free
Position requires aseptic gowning during job duties, including wearing a beard/moustache cover, hair net, hood, facemask, goggles, jumpsuit, gloves, and boots
Must be willing and able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs
Must be willing to be vaccinated/blood tested for titer for products manufactured within the facility
Must be flexible and willing to work shift schedules, including every other weekend and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
Bio Works Certificate or Bachelors degree in Life Science or Engineering, or an Associates degree in Life Science or Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience in an FDA regulated industry
Experience with automated systems (MES, SAP, HMI, DeltaV)
Experience with automated equipment (Autoclave, Washer)
