Job Description

Job Title - Production Assembler
Shift:
1st Shift
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Duration: 12 months 
Location :San Antonio, TX is 78233.

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to assemble products according to specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have previous assembly experience, be comfortable working with hand tools, and thrive in both independent and team environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and routings to manufacture parts according to specifications.
  • Assemble products while ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify product quality.
  • Utilize hand tools, including handheld screwdrivers and drill guns.
  • Maintain inventory of materials and components at workstations.
  • Identify product defects and report quality concerns to management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve simple product quality issues.
  • Meet production standards, specifications, and tolerances.
  • Complete routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all machine operation, guarding, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Properly use safety equipment, including machine guards, interlocks, and safety curtains, and report any malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely production, quality, and safety records.
  • Report safety hazards, accidents, incidents, and near misses to management immediately.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain productivity, quality, housekeeping, and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–3 years of assembly experience required.
  • Thermoforming experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience using hand tools and powered assembly tools.
  • Understanding of MSDS and safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Manual dexterity to accurately assemble parts and components.
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and reach above the shoulders for up to 25% of the workday.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
