Job Title: Product Owner
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:
The Product Owner will be leading initiatives to drive digital transformation for a new digital experience for our members.

The Product Owner collaborates with the Product Manager and Journey Management teams to familiarize themselves with strategy and vision to be able to provide the necessary direction to business and IT partners as the solution is being developed.

That includes working on initiatives where you are building a world-class and forward-leaning user experience, thoughtfully integrating proprietary and partnered solutions, supporting the evaluation and integration of the most important and exciting new technologies (e.g., Amazon Alexa) and features (e.g., virtual care) to increase conversion, and otherwise ensuring our customer has the most supportive, frictionless, and delightful digital experience possible.

Essential Functions:
The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
• Leads scrum teams as the Product Owner
• Provides vision and direction to the agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create user stories
• Ensures that the team always has an adequate backlog of prior prepared work
• Plans and prioritize product feature backlog user stories for their work-streams
• Coordinates with Journey and product teams to deliver on vision, road-map and growth opportunities
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are
aligned with product strategy
• Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
• Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
• Leads the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
• Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
• Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

Required Work Experience:
• 5+ years related work experience
• Relevant experience with at least 3 years related to digital 1 year as product owner

Additional Required Qualifications:
• In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
• Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
• Ability to work in an agile and iterative environment

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Business knowledge of client.
• Lean/Six Sigma or Product Owner certification
• Experience leading teams in a matrix environment with reporting responsibilities to two or more different areas

Education Level:
• Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience.

Required:
Agile SAFe 5.0 experience required

Responsible for partnering w. Digital PM to gain understanding of initiative and prepare to write user stories
- review and outline project details
- responsible for accepting final plan iterations

Program Backlog Refinement
-Story definition
- Providing clarifications when necessary to assist team
- Drafts team's specific objectives

Coordinates dependencies w. other POs
-documents risks and dependencies on ROAM board
- active in the Agile Release Train's (ART's) Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshop

User Story Acceptance
- Validating the user stories meet acceptance criteria

Testing Support
-Overall responsibility for UAT
-tracking defects that analyst inputs into Rally
-provide status updates
- support IVP along w. team's analyst(s) and other stakeholder partners
